Pete's Dragon is a 1977 musical fantasy film starring Helen Reddy, Mickey Rooney, Red Buttons, Shelley Winters and Jeff Conaway (from Babylon 5).

The New York Times calls it energetic and enjoyable but has a couple of caveats. Moria says it "isn’t a particularly memorable effort".
