Per Aspera Ad Astra

Per Aspera Ad Astra is a 1981 Soviet science fiction film. It's almost two and a half hours long but doesn't feel that long while you're watching it.

Moria has a good overview of the plot.

    1. You can start bookmarking movies like I do lol. Not that I'll ever watch them all, but I feel some comfort knowing I'll never run out of movies to watch ;)

    1. I hope you like it. I sometimes find these old science-y fiction films depressing considering how little progress we're making :(

  4. I did a double take when I saw the title. Kansas's state motto is Ad Astra Per Aspera, which means To the stars through difficulty. It's on our state flag and state seal, too.

    1. Cool! I didn't know that. It's an aspirational motto, isn't it!
