Lamp Post 42

Now that I've seen one on a road-side lamp post, I notice them more and more.

  1. I've never seen the number 42 when I'm out and about. I might have to pay more attention to the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything else.

    1. I've heard the artist who did these has left Memphis. I can hope someone else will step up to fill the gap, but I'm afraid I'm going to be looking for serendipitous street addresses from now on ;)

    2. Maybe you'll have to become the new 42 artist =^,.^=

I, too, used to see them a lot. But I can't remember the last new one I saw.

    1. They are getting scarcer. I wish another artist would adopt this practice.

    1. Yes! They used to be easier to find. I'm wondering what I'll do when I can't find them any more :(

    1. If this artist has moved to Nashville as I've heard, maybe they'll be next to enjoy the fun :)

  6. I'm going to believe that during the hours of your 42nd birthday, when your Angels visit, you get a glimpse but not remember, to know everything about life & the universe. Once you awaken on your 42nd birthday it is then for you to figure out what the glimpse was & work with it. I say a 42nd birthday is therefore something to really look forward to. I believe that 42 is the answer whether written on lamp posts or not ... maybe as you find a 42, it is your Angels asking you to take a pause ...

    1. My 42nd birthday was many a long year ago, but I like this idea. Perhaps the more mindfully I consider, the more frequently they will speak to me.

  7. This one actually looks like gang graffiti. I wonder if it's a local gang tagging their territory.

    1. No, this is that same artist that has done all the other public 42s. They have a recognizable style. We do have gang graffiti here, but it has a different look.
