but snow and ice was predicted so we headed home a few hours early. On our way home we stopped for lunch in Wynne, Arkansas, at Hot Stone Pizza, Pasta, Salads, Subs and had pizza.
It hasn't been open long, but they're doing a great job! The interior is comfortable:
You walk along a counter and choose size, white or wheat crust, and toppings. I chose a 6" wheat crust with basil, sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms:
Service was helpful, and the pizza was tasty. I'd be a near-weekly regular if I lived there.
On the highway on the way home we saw the most beautiful, fullest, brightest double rainbow we had ever seen. My poor cell phone didn't do it justice, but you can get an idea:

I was mesmerized by the fire and was sad when the video was over. But I really liked the restaurant where you stopped and I would gladly eat that same pizza. It looked delicious and fits my vegetarian lifestyle. Too bad we can't get those in Kansas, where beef is KING.
ReplyDeleteThat really was a beautiful rainbow, and I think your cell phone did a great job. Thanks for sharing your pizza and cold drink, along with the rainbow with us for T this Tuesday. Now I want a pizza and I am headed for bed!
Oh pizza! And it tasted good?! Super - a beautiful place to eat and what an amazing rainbow!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day Divers!
Catching up once again. Looks like you were on a trip. Picking your own style pizza sounds like a good way to go. I'd have been in awe looking at that rainbow. Thanks for getting a picture for us.
ReplyDeleteYour cabin looks lovely with that roaring fire and I think your feet were enjoying the warmth too ...lol 😉. The pizza looks so yummy and it must have been wonderful to see that awesome double rainbow on the way home too! Wishing you a Happy T Tuesday! J 😊

I shall try the Bigelow Lemon Thanks for popping on on my blog❤
ReplyDeleteCute video of the Village Creek State Park cabin, D. My toes feel all warm and toasty.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's an optical illusion. But it looks like you might actually reach the end of the rainbow, doesn't it?
Glad you beat the bad weather and got safely home.
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
The restaurant looked great and so did your pizza. Its good to be able to make up your own toppings.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow photo you shared looked fantastic.
Happy T day wishes.

Beautiful videos today! I love watching the fire in a fireplace, and the rainbow is gorgeous. So nice when you can get away and have a nice time isn't it? thanks for sharing your pizza on T day! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice visit! I hate to leave! Loved sitting by the fire and drooling over the pizza, and I was so hoping we would see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbo, (no, really love just watching it. )
ReplyDeleteA very nice post for us! Thank you! Happy T day!
Wow. My first thought looking at that gorgeous rainbow was how flat it is. Wow. I forget about flat living in the land of hills. :) And that pizza looks good too. I don't like mushrooms but otherwise it looks very veery yummy! Happy T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThat pizza looked amazing! Beautiful double rainbow as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
Yummy! Who doesn't love pizza? And the toppings look amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
That cabin fire was wonderful and I also loved the socks!
ReplyDeleteNow I am so hungry for pizza.
I can imagine the rainbow was even brighter in person, but you can tell it was richly colored. :)
What a lovely fireplace! It's a shame the glass never stays that clean. I am so lucky that my hubby cleans the glass every morning and lights the fire even before I get up. Now isn't that true love!!
ReplyDeleteYes, that pizze place looks very nice and the pizza looks good too, although in Europe people tend to have 'thin & crispy' type pizzas.
I'm glad you got home safely before all the bad weather.
That rainbow is awesome! I have never seen a double one in real life.
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca
Love setting in front of a fireplace ♥♥♥ That rainbow was beautiful and it looked like you were driving right towards that "POT OF GOLD" at it's end :) Great looking pizza too... I've been hungry for pizza the past few days so thatnks for sharing!!!
