Night and the City is a 1950 Jules Dassin film noir starring Richard Widmark and Gene Tierney. Gene Tierney is priceless always, and this movie is worth watching.

Rotten Tomatoes has a critics score of 79% and an audience rating of 89%.

DeleteI'm seldom able to take the time to watch, but today I did. Was dark, gritty, and I love the way the old movies had a kind of moral center. You did wrong and you paid the price. Thanks!! Was fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the "noir" films. No "happily ever after" "sweetness and light" for them. Those evil influences just take them down.
