OMGosh. I have to watch this, if for no other reason than the retro set. I'm off to see it now. Thanks for sharing this, dear.
ReplyDeleteYa gotta love those 50s space sets. I hope you like it.
DeleteI used to watch these 50's movies all the time as a kid. They were always shown on tv on Sundays. Butt I don't think I've seen this one. I will have to check it out and see. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWe never seem to get past our fear of the other. I didn't see most of these when I was little. I seem to remember it being mostly horror and monster movies on tv. This one was fun.
DeleteI love that they blasted off in a spaceship with rooms in recliners!! And stuck the dead guy down a manhole space chute. This was so campy. BUT--it IS what I grew up watching. You can tell we were a decade away from putting a man on the moon when they made this. Was fun! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and wearing one-piece work clothes like a repairman might wear. Giggles!! What a hoot!
DeleteThey get some of it right, but so much of it is so off. I enjoy them, tho. They are so _serious_, and the gender roles are so 50s.
DeleteWhat a great movie for sci-fi fans! Thanks for the recommendation 😁. Have a great day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteWell, it's a far cry from "great" ;) but I sometimes get a kick out of the old ones.
DeleteI love these old movies! Going to watch it with Helena, thanks!
