This Russian movie is a 1938 anti-German propaganda film with Alexander Nevsky leading the good people of Rus, mostly peasants, against the cruel invading Teutonic army of thousands. He was canonized in 1547.
Music for the film was composed by Sergei Prokofiev. An excerpt from the "Battle of the Ice" section from a live performance can be seen here:
