J&G Pizza and Steakhouse

J&G Pizza and Steakhouse is in Manchester, TN, and close to the Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park which was part of our vacation this past summer. We passed this sign:

and pulled in. We were greeted by pleasant staff and shown to a table. The interior has a fun look:

This was a great find. I'm sure they do a strong repeat business, as the food was wonderful (I had the lasagna, here's the menu),

and the service couldn't be beat.

Summer is over, though the heat is still hanging on. Highs are still around 90F, so I'm still able to spend a lot of time on the patio.

I like the heat; it's cold I don't like. But I appreciate seasonal changes and look forward to that finally happening.

Please join the folks sharing a beverage for the weekly T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering.

  1. The restaurant looks wonderful and your meal so delicious! I think I'll have the Grilled Shrimp and BBQ Chicken please ...lol 😉. Glad your still enjoying hot weather, it's definitely cooler here in my part of the world which is fine by me as I love fall/autumn! Your pretty mug reminds me of autumn too - Happy T Tuesday! J 😊

  3. Love the J&G building. The interior looked good, too. I really enjoyed perusing the menu. I would have ordered the soup and salad bar, but your lasagna looks great, too. Very cheesy.

Yesterday was still hot, hot, hot, but the rain came through (it's still raining) overnight, so our 90s F weather has turned to 60s weather. Unlike you, I prefer the cold to the heat. There is only so much you can remove in the heat, but you can add layer after layer of warmth in the cold.

Thanks for taking us with you to this unique spot, sharing your meal, your drink, and your drink at home with us for T this Tuesday. If it's chilly there now, the weather is going to rebound later in the week, at least.

  5. The restaurant does look fun :) and the food looks wonderful. It's been awhile since I've eaten lasagna. My sunflowers are all gone except for the seeds which the birds have been enjoying .

  6. I like the purple. Can't recall ever being to a restaurant that used that color. Nice menu and prices are very reasonable too.

  11. Mmmm, that lasagna looks good. We've been havine unseasonably warm temperatures here in Massachusetts. I'm still working in the sun room. I'm not complaining about the heat or humidity. Winter seems to last a good 9 months and one never has to shovel heat or humidity. Happy T Day

  15. What a fun restaurant! We've had freeze warnings for a couple of days and were down to about 28 degrees. I prefer the cold to the heat, so we are both okay with our weather--LOL! ;)

  17. Nothing beats gooey melt-y cheese in my book. Your lasagna looks scrumptious, D. The weather has been cool here. Our rainy season is coming to a close and winter is on the way. That's means temps in the 50s. Brr - lol.

    Happy T-day! Eileen

  18. I'm quite late. Is that your Jerusalem Artichoke in the pot? Soak up those last rays of summer, winter will be here soon.

  19. That's pentas. I have 2 this color and 2 red ones. Hummingbirds like it in either color, and it blooms well until frost. We had a high yesterday of 90F lol Winter may never come again.
