They're installing a pedestrian crosswalk on a bridge here that crosses the Mississippi River. It's not open yet, but here's a video from the Memphis Business Journal:
Here's a 5-minute history of the Harahan bridge:
I can hardly wait to walk across!
I can't believe you find 42 everywhere. This truly looks like you will enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see the photo of the 42 lol. I'll try to get my own photo when I walk across.
DeleteThat is a really long bridge and I hope you bring us across with you when you go!! :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the pedestrian bridge in Chattanooga and am pleased we're doing this. It's got practical applications as well as recreational ones and seems quite forward-thinking :)
DeleteI can understand why you are looking forward to the bridge walk opening. Looks like a great adventure.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking my daughter will want to do this, too, so I'll see when she wants to go. Fun! :)
DeleteThat would be fun to do. If you cross the bridge, where will you end up when you get to the other side? Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe other side of the bridge is in Arkansas, but there's no bluff on that side so it's not developed since there's flooding. I'm interested to see what they've done as part of this project, though. I'm hoping for some kind of little park area.
