We ate at this restaurant on site three times during our trip and enjoyed it each time. We were always seated by a window, with a view of the covered deck and lake:
I couldn't resist the fried catfish for our first meal and wasn't disappointed. I had pinto beans, onion rings, and -of course- hush puppies. Very tasty:
The next time, I had the club sandwich:
And we ate breakfast there before checking out on our last day:
Afterwards, we spent some time rocking on the deck and enjoying the scenery one last time before our departure:
You can see the trails I walked here and here, and you can see photos of the bison from our Land Between the Lakes side trip tomorrow. We did have a fun time, but then we always have a fun time. We agree with Dr. Seuss: "It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how." Wherever you are, there's fun to be had.
Please join the T Tuesday gathering hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth and share a drink with us.

All the meals look delicious and I can imagine sitting on that covered deck and enjoying the view. What a great quote. That one is going in my inspiration file.
ReplyDeleteI was delighted to see all these meals you had at that lodge. Those hush puppies looked a bit dark to me. Of course, I could take or leave them, but the fish looked absolutely incredible. And of course, that omelet looked extra yummy. I was struch by the different coffee cups they used. Looks like a fun place to eat and even greater place to visit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all these meals (and drinks, of course) with us for T this Tuesday. Do you need me to link you?
I had a family member undergo a heart catheterization and have been hovering over him for the last couple of days. Everything turned out perfect, but I'm just now getting to visit the links. I'm observing T Thursday this week. :)
DeleteI love hush puppies, and you can't find them up here in New Hampshire at all. I have a couple of recipes and one of these days I am going to try them. Maybe today since you've jogged my memory. Your meals look yummy, and I lvoe the view you had too. Happy T day-Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteThe food looks delicious! Are those scones on the plate with your omelet? Chrisx
ReplyDeleteGreat looking food. I love that area!!! My family is from Kentucky and several of them live on Kentucky Lake.. living there long enough that they got the land for a steal because who wants land that is so close to a lake that rises and falls with the weather right :) And the TVA made it sound so unpredictable and unsafe to live there. Now their lots are worth a fortune if the ever choose to sell which I don't see happening anytime at all.
ReplyDeleteYou and Dr Seuss are right :-)
ReplyDeleteFun Fun Fun.
Oh that porch with the view of the lake would make one want to never leave.
Extra special to get to enjoy those yummy meals with a lovely view too.
Sorry I'm late to wish you Happy T Day computer issues about drove me crazy all week.
