Final thought: Most everyone involved with the flick NEVER worked in movies EVER again. But, still, it has some pretty inspired gross-out scenes. Recommended.
Rotten Tomatoes gives it a score of 20%.

      he carried his dead sweetheart into the radiation-polluted river which zombie-fied him as the end credits rolled, so we see no further into their star-crossed "lives". maybe it's one of those stories where some things are best left unknown
