Today is the anniversary of the death in 2006 of science fiction writer Stanisław Lem. I have read and enjoyed several of his many books. His novel Solaris has been filmed twice, and the earlier 1972 version is #67 on the Arts and Faith list of 100 Most Spiritually Significant Films. There is a study guide for the book here.
