Blade (1998)

Blade is a 1998 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Blade, a human with vampire strengths but not their weaknesses who fights against vampires. It is the first installment of the Blade franchise. The film stars Wesley Snipes as the title character with Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson and N'Bushe Wright in supporting roles. Great fun. I've forgotten where I watched this one, and it no longer seems available on any of the services I have access to.

  3. I don't think I've seen this one. I'm going to add it to my list as sounds fun. And hopefully it's as good as a lot of the Marvel films were. The newest ones just don't seem to be cutting the mustard, as they say. Have a great Wednesday.

  5. Sounds like the perfect movie for this time of year 😊. Not that I'll be watching any horror movies (ha, ha!), but we've just set up our surround sound system in the back room to watch movies on those cold winter afternoons, it's going to be such fun! Happy October! Hugs, Jo x

  6. I only know the film by name, but I haven't seen it yet. Your description sounds good - if the film catches my eye, I can give it a chance.
You wrote to me on my SW USA post that you would probably skip Las Vegas. We would have liked to do that too, but the route to the parks is so long and LV is a good "rest stop" in the middle. If there is a next time, we will also look for alternatives. I don't know what the off-seasons are like in the NP - for us it was March, which should actually be off season... (But after Zion the rush wasn't so bad.)
All the best and happy October days,
    Traude
