The Yellow Wallpaper (on Freevee via Prime or on Tubi) is an adaptation of the Charlotte Perkins Gilman short story. It has the right atmosphere. Nothing can improve on reading the story itself.

Sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI love this story and all the adaptations. Powerful!
Delete...the wallpaper is the least of the problems.
ReplyDeleteYou've got that right.
DeletePretty scary stuff for me! 🥹
ReplyDeleteIt's not scary except as you think of how women were treated back in the day. And then I consider how we are treated now :(
DeleteI don't know either the movie OR the book.
ReplyDeleteIt's a powerful tale. I'd start with the story. It's a quick read.
DeleteThis looks good!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
DeleteI read the story in college. I think I might pass on a movie about it, but it does make you think about how they thought of women. Under the current circumstances I maybe don't want to revisit that past. lol! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo controlling, and it's scary the way our laws are taking us back to those days :(
