..."Gabby" Hayes is a name that I haven't heard in ages.
ReplyDeleteHe was a staple in the old Westerns.
DeleteI had a Hopalong Cassidy lunchbox! Ma was not sentimental about childhood things. I bet that lunchbox would have been worth a small fortune now
ReplyDeleteSo cool!
DeleteOOh, this is age-restricted and can't watch it here! Sounds like a goodie!
ReplyDeleteAge restricted?! I can't imagine why...
DeleteI'm sure I must have seen this when I was a kid because we had matinee movies that played theme weeks or months and westerns were cheap back then for them to get so I saw many old westerns and remember old Hopalong Cassidy for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey were popular in theaters, so I'd bet it's one you've seen.
DeleteThere really were hop-along-Cassidy films? I guess that's where the phrase my aunt used to say came from. :) How's the grandbaby?
ReplyDeleteLots of them! That grandbaby is such a sweetie pie. He's learning to recognize his daycare buddies :)
DeleteA bit too old for me but Mr. M. would love this.
ReplyDeleteI like variety, so sometimes an old western is just the thing.
