a 1950 cover of a 1925 song. This version is from a film by the same name and is sung by Doris Day, who celebrated her 92nd birthday this past Sunday. Or maybe her 94th? It seems no one is quite sure what year she was born.

Doris Day was a favorite when I was growing up. Fun to hear her again
ReplyDeleteI have seen all of her films-at least once:) Happy T day!
ReplyDeletethe movie Clips you come up with are incredible... how Young she was (and me, too;) well, actually not Born then...) awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am SO sorry I'm so late, but I'm having horrible computer problems (AGAIN). Like Johanna, I wasn't born when she sang that song, but I really enjoyed how you come up with so many wonderful drink related songs, movies, and paintings. You are incredible!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this with us for T this Tuesday.
Well hopefully SHE knows...lol You always find something appropriate for Tea my dear. :) Happy Tday! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my MIL favorite movies :) Of course other than the Frank Sinatra one's . She did love Frankie :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI read about her the other day and was quite frankly surprised, I thought she was long gone. She was so cute and gifted, but blue eyeshadow and orange lipstick... they didn´t care for the "natural" look in those days, did they? Nor did we in the 80´s, as I recall. ;-) Happy T-Day, though I passed on participating this week. Maybe next week!
ReplyDeleteI remember white lipstick in the 60s lol and bright blue eyeshadow, Now that I'm older I wear lighter more natural lipsticks, and I haven't worn eyeshadow in decades. Times, they do change ;)
DeleteYou have a knack for finding just the right videos for T day.
