is well-made in its details, and uncompromising in the way it presents the disturbing details of the crimes. It is certainly not for the young or the sensitive.The New York Times review doesn't like anything at all about the film except Freeman. Moria calls it "an absolutely breathtaking thriller". DVD Journal opens their review by saying, "Se7en is the most unsatisfying serial killer movie ever made. And I mean that in the best possible sense." Rotten Tomatoes describes it as "A brutal, relentlessly grimy shocker with taut performances, slick gore effects, and a haunting finale." Entertainment Weekly likes it. AMC has an overview.
