Haunted Gold

Haunted Gold is a 1932 western starring John Wayne. It's less than an hour long, and I would suggest it if it were available free. It's not worth paying for.

TCM has some information.

  1. I love your recommendation: don't pay to watch it! Good enough for me. Thanks.

    1. Some of these, honestly, they should charge way less. They have this one online for $2.99 rental. I might be willing to go $.99 ;)

  2. Not a John Wayne fan, anyways. I know people love him but to me he's a one-note actor. ;)

    1. He played himself with great skill. In every single movie he was in ;)

  3. I wanted to tell you, back when I was in high school, I had buffalo meat. I agree, it is much dryer, less fat, and tasted just as good, if not better than beef. If I ever give up my vegetarian ways, I will definitely eat buffalo, now that it's no longer considered an endangered animal. Well, not endangered, but the classification right below endangered that I can't think of because it's late and I need caffeine.

    1. Yes, we've started buying bison instead of beef for burgers, stew beef, chili... We like it better.

  4. I wonder why some films are free and some are not? I get with new films, but films that old, it doesn't make sense. Someone must own it. I know the same thing is happening to teacher worksheets online. You used to be able to find free ones, and now everyone is charging. Not a lot, but I'm not paying for them. Times do change. 1. Ones under copyright come and go online. I can't imagine, though, why they make the video come down but then charge so much for a rental for a movie like this (1932, less than an hour, obscure). Their pricing is unrealistic.

    1. So young! When we see actors from so long ago they look about 12 years old to us.
