Waxworks

Waxworks is a 1924 German silent anthology directed by Paul Leni. A man answers an ad to write a fascinating story about each one of 3 exhibits in a waxworks museum. The first story is of the Caliph of Baghdad and his desire for the baker's wife. The 2nd vignette is about Ivan the Terrible's murderous villainy. 3rd and last is a tale about the mysterious Spring Heeled Jack. I loved the sets and costumes in this one.

Moria calls it more fantasy than horror and says, "The design work in the film is amazing."
