The last known wild jaguar in the U.S. has died. A
National Geographic report says, "the only wild jaguar known to be living in the U.S. -- was euthanized in Phoenix, Arizona".
LiveScience.com says, "The jaguar was the only one spotted in the United States in more than a decade."
Wikipedia, the source of the photo above, notes that "It is the only Panthera found in the New World."
