I've had a couple of surprising styrofoam experiences lately. I think my next T Tuesday post has one. :(Divers and Sundryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01759655568104782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28337090.post-39203629326041769492014-07-24T06:16:03.026-07:002014-07-24T06:16:03.026-07:00The styrofoam cup, it that is what it is, would pu...The styrofoam cup, it that is what it is, would put me off immediately. I don't mind casual like the sandwich in a basket but styro sets my teeth on edge. $10 for a sandwich and drink would not be considered expensive here - usually runs $12+.

DarlaDarlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02729017606957829830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28337090.post-91479355931990372602014-07-24T05:46:28.040-07:002014-07-24T05:46:28.040-07:00Yes, I'm sure it costs them more these days to...Yes, I'm sure it costs them more these days to make the sandwich and run the restaurant. It's just that if I can make the meal myself for so much less I need the experience of the place to make up for the difference. I have a little metal lunchbox I had when I was in elementary school I can put on my little black metal table out on my own patio ;)Divers and Sundryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01759655568104782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28337090.post-8651227007103116272014-07-24T04:27:02.370-07:002014-07-24T04:27:02.370-07:00Disappointment with eating establishments is somet...Disappointment with eating establishments is something I experience more often than not. Being an adventuresome cook myself, expectations are high when I pay someone else to feed me. $10 is too much to pay for an ordinary sandwich. But have you noticed how food costs are rising at the grocery stores? So I suppose it's inevitable that is reflected in restaurant prices. sandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17355232032181406759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28337090.post-14425704896564231572014-07-23T19:12:48.396-07:002014-07-23T19:12:48.396-07:00I don't mind paying for atmosphere, actually. ...I don't mind paying for atmosphere, actually. The only atmosphere here was that cute little lunchbox. Your meal seems a bit on the pricey side to me, because sandwiches shouldn't cost that much. Even the frontage was nothing special, at least from what I saw in your photo.Bleubeard and Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149710375520733752noreply@blogger.com
