Muddy Waters

Today is the anniversary of the death in 1983 of Muddy Waters at the age of 70. In declining health, he died of heart failure in his sleep at his home. He was born near Clarksdale, Mississippi, which is about 1 1/2 hours southwest of Memphis.

  1. My friend Joseph Peck, the musician, introduced me to Muddy Waters and the blues. Wonderful homage to a man who could put his soul into his music.

  2. I had heard a few of these songs but I'm not sure if they were sung by him. Seems like even people like myself who know little of the blues have heard of Muddy Waters. :)
