Memphis Botanic Gardens Daffodils

A recent trip to the Botanic Gardens showed that our unwillingness to go there in the cold, dreary rain made us miss the height of the daffodil season. There were still some pretty ones, though:

There were also tulips:

and flowering trees:

What a wonderful place to spend time!

  2. The rain seems to have been good for the daffodils. They are gorgeous. I also LOVE the beautiful tulips. I checked on mine today and there are a few leaves showing, but it's been so dry, I can't imagine how they will ever bloom. Don't tell Susi, but it was 77F here today! It was a perfect day, except for the high winds and the lack of moisture, of course.

I truly LOVE all these photos you shared with us. It's truly a gorgeous time to be taking in these wonderful perennials and trees.

    1. The daffodils are always gorgeous here beginning in February. The Dixon Gardens has the best tulips, and I hope to get there during the next few days. You had warmer temps at 77F than we've had so far :)

    1. We really are lucky. It's been spring here since February, but it's been so rainy I didn't go out into it.

    1. Our spring flowers are suffering from all this rain. It's raining again here -yesterday and today. We hardly ever get snow, and even then it's not much and doesn't last.
