Audubon Park

On a recent trip to Audubon Park we noticed some interesting new additions:

I'm not at all sure what these pieces are supposed to accomplish by being elevated like this, but they are fun to explore.

  1. Maybe the builders were expecting a flood, or maybe they wanted to keep old folks away. Either way, they are certainly NOT user or disabled friendly.

  2. They are interesting pieces for sure. I thought the picnic table might have been the way it was for wheelchairs, but it can't be since it is up on that platform. Maybe they are one of those unclear art installations. If you find out let us know. But I will say it does look like a nice place to walk. Hugs-Erika

    1. Exactly! I did see people besides us on them, including one family at the picnic table. I love your description: "participation art pieces"

    1. It was a beautiful day :) There's a reason they're like this, but I can't figure out what that reason is lol
