Tims Ford State Park Bridge

On all the promotional material for Tims Ford State Park there are photos of this bridge:

and it's on a paved trail that goes from the cabins around to the Visitor Center so we decided to talk a walk and see it.

This is the view from the bridge:

These delightful pieces were hanging near the Visitor Center:

  1. It looks such a picturesque spot for a vacation and what wonderful photos you took! The beautiful reflections in the water of the trees and sky are breathtaking and I would enjoy having a picnic on those benches in the dappled shade 😀. The bird feeder and box are adorable and such wonderful colours. It looks like you had great weather too 😎. Thanks for sharing happy memories of your vacation and enjoy your weekend! J 😊

    1. The weather was gorgeous! We got about 5 minutes of gentle rain while we were there -and not everybody likes this humid heat as much as I do- but I drank it in.

  2. What a beautiful view. I think the walk out to the bridge was smart. I like the pond. Do people swim in it? Hugs-Erika

    1. This is a huge lake with coves too many to number. It has islands that boaters can camp on that aren't accessible any way but by boat. There are no swimming beaches inside the park proper, but there's a pretty beach a few miles down the road on a different section of the lake. The Husband doesn't like swimming, so I didn't take my suit.

  3. I love the photos of the bridge, but I am NOT at all fond of heat and humidity. It looks like it would be a great place to visit in spring or autumn, but not the dead heat of summer.

    1. I'll bet it's gorgeous in the Fall. The trees in some of the autumn photos I've seen are stunning.
