The Cafeteria

The Cafeteria (1930):


by Isaac Soyer (1907-1981), part of the permanent collection at the Memphis Brooks Museum. Soyer was a registered WPA artist. He immigrated to the U.S.A. with his parents, who were born in Russia.

  5. Enjoyed the painting. Couldn't help but think my how times have changed. Now both those figures would have their cellphones in their hands. Maybe the woman would be taking a picture of her food and drink for Tuesday! :-D
