Rosebud

No, not that Rosebud!

Rosebud tea:

The Daughter brought it over back last summer and fixed some:

Sadly, I didn't care for it. It does smell lovely, and I dried out the rosebuds to use in Mother's rosejar:

Please share a beverage with us at the weekly T Tuesday gathering hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth.

  1. I've never heard of rosebud tea...it looks beautiful and I bet it does smell wonderful. Kind of seems a shame to boil them...Love the Rose Jar! Happy T Day!

  3. My friend Julia in England sent me some rose tea. I loved the scent, but the rose taste was a bit "different." Mine was in bags, though, so no lovely buds to dry and keep. I adore that jar, and I also adore that pot your daughter prepared the tea in.

Thanks for sharing this gorgeous rosebud tea with us for T this Tuesday. BTW, I wonder how many got the Citizen Kane reference!

  4. I tried rose petal tea once and I didn't like it either, I'll stick to coffee, but the buds do look very pretty. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  8. I've never tasted rosebud tea, but it doesn't sound like something I'd like to try.... But you have done well to use the rosebuds to decorate and fragrance. Your mum's jar is gorgeous.
I see you are a fan of Ellis Peters (Caedfel). I have read a few too. I love a good sleuth.
Thanks for visiting and Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  10. Rosebud tea isn't a favorite of mine either but I had a friend who used to rinse her hair with it and her hair always smelled wonderful. The rosebuds are beautiful. Thanks for sharing and that jar is beautiful.

  13. When I saw the title I thought it was a review - imagine my surprise when it turned out to be tea. I don't think I'd care for the "rose" flavor but the buds are beautiful in that clear tea pot.

  14. I've never had rosebud tea. It doesn't sound really appealing to me either, but it probably does smell great. Beautiful little pot of your mother's too. :)
