  1. I've only read 4 of them and I don't know that I would say that any of them has changed me. All though Crime and Punishment is a story that has really stuck with me.

    1. it's hard to say a book has "changed your life," tho i think books can alter perspective & broaden horizons. some stories stick with me more than others, and some stand up better to re-reading than others.

  2. This looks like a very personal selection. It´s not so much the book, as the timing, if we´re talking life-changing art. If you read "Sophie´s World" when you´re 13 and know nothing, then perhaps it will change your life. I saw "The Empire Strikes Back" when I was 13. It changed my life, and I mean that in earnest.

    1. i agree it's all about the timing & personal situations. i read sophie's world as an adult and wasn't all that impressed.

  3. Read nine of them. Can't say they changed my life though. The Artists Way is always being talked about on art groups that I belong to. Read it but didn't follow all the things it said to do. Guess I'm not much of a rule follower.

    1. i've heard of the artist's way. maybe books can change your approach to life and then your life changes as a result of that? if books can change lives, we need to pay more attention to how we educate our lit teachers ;)
