Calming Tea

Tazo claims of their Calm blend: "A single cup of Tazo Calm has been known to have the same effect as sitting for 45 minutes in a mountain meadow on a sunny day with your shoes off." I doubt that. It's an herbal infusion and not a tea, which is a fine thing, but it has licorice in it. I don't like licorice at all, so I had trouble getting past the smell to taste it. Tasting it didn't change my mind.

The cup is another of my Pink Palace Craft Fair finds. This one is marked 2002 JRC on the bottom. I feel like I claim all my cups are favorites. Maybe they are. I get rid of ones I don't like.

  1. Like the mug, you have a lot of nice ones. Not sure I would like the tea although I do usually like Tazo teas. The effect of the calming sounds a bit over the top, LOL!

    1. ah, marketing. sometimes i wonder if the folks who write the copy have even tried the product lol. i guess for folks who like licorice this would be just the thing.

  2. Well, I like licorice, but NOT in tea. I suspect I would not like this particular "blend." I do, however, LOVE that mug. It is stunning. I can assure you, it would be one of my favorite's, too. The design is so unique and reminds me of fluidity.

Thanks for sharing this T tale today, and, as always, I'm so thankful for you, and your T posts, too.

  7. I don't care for licorice, either. But the tea bag wrapper and the mug are so pretty in the photo...at least it makes a gorgeous blog post. :)

    Happy T day!

  8. I love licorice... the black chewy eating kind and would be equally put off if I found it in my tea... great description of the teas powers though! LOL Love your mug, it is another beauty!
