10 Most-Read Books

Just because a book sells well doesn't mean it's actually read. I wouldn't assume every Bible that's been sold has even been opened, much less read.

Of the ones pictured above, I've read The Bible, Harry Potter (the series), The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Gone With the Wind, and The Diary of Anne Frank (in its earlier expurgated version).

  1. This is interesting. I can't make out all the names (could you add the link?) but I think I've only read the Harry Potter series and The Diary of a Young Girl!

  2. I have read the bible from beginning to end in four different translations, two languagues, for some reason other than being very devout. Actually, I think it´s because it´s pretty good literature. I have also read the first Harry Potter, Anne Franks diary, the Alchemist, and the Da Vinci code. I loathed the last one, finished it anyway. It felt like I had one of those Clint Eastwood veins throbbing against my temple after about page 70, when I had declared to the husband exactly how the whole thing was going to end, and it did. I have never heard of Napoleon Hill.

Honestly, these days, I use best-seller-lists more as an indication of what´s probably not going to appeal to me...

i don't pay any attention to those best seller lists. like you, i think they will probably not appeal to me.

    1. i think many girls from the south probably read gone with the wind in their early years. i knew several people when i was in elementary school who started writing their own sequels because they were so dissatisfied with the book's ending lol. i'm not a particular fan of the film, even though it is very impressive.
